When that pie is visible, there is no need for a finger. The tongue takes over.

No, it would burn the tip of my finger. I usually use a knife or toothpick. Some things are just too hot to be fingered.

No - I usually use a fork and spoon and I check both the inside and ouside to see if they are ready.
