My guy tells me he doesn't want to have sex anymore and that he wants to have something more than that..The issue is this..I don't get to see him often but maybe once every 3-4 months and so and you would think he would want to have sex wouldn't you? I know he is not getting it anywhere else and he cares and loves me very much..but why would he not want to have sex? He told me that he also wanted to be able to enjoy someone's company without it leading to sex..but ugh!! Does anyone else find this odd???

I had a boyfriend say this to me one time years ago....I lived 6 hours from him. He came down and visited me twice....no sex....then he showed up with an engagement ring the next time he visited. I didn't marry him. Glad that I didn't. However sometimes it means just that...he is trying to see how much YOU like him.

It could very well be his age and he is seeing that there is so much more to life than sex. I am the same way. I do understand where he is coming from with this, but it is a little odd that a man is saying it instead of a woman. You could be wrong, and he could be going elsewhere, you can never be certain of that. The odd part of this is that you two do not see much of each other and he is wanting to cut out the sex. If the two of you have sex everyday that you see each other, that could be what he is getting at as well. Once when you are together should be fine, and then the two of you can spend time doing more important things. Another thing could be that he has a medical problem that is affecting his sex drive or sex life. This is something he would not want to tell you about. There could be many reasons for it. The best thing would be to try to get to the bottom of it face to face with him so that you can better understand it. Ask him if he is gay, ask him if it is something about you that turns him off, ask him any and all questions that you can think of so you will be better able to understand where he is coming from with this.

Very odd. If he is wanting to "enjoy" the company of other people then honey he ain't in love with you. There are different levels of caring for some one too. And his is level is not on the same as yours. If you are not seeing him but occasionally and he doesn't want to have sex,He's getting it elsewhere. Men just don't do well without sex. They are very visual, sexual beings.

Well it can go to ways, either he dont want to hurt you and there is someone else (that you dont know about) or, he is just going through a phase, some men dont always want sex, and others it is all the time. Consider this as a good sign, he loves you and its just not about the sex. I would talk to him to see what he is feeling.

Sounds like he just wants something deeper and more meaningful with you - thats not a sign of homosexuality, its a sign of emotional maturity. If you cant give more than the superficial, maybe its time to split up cuz you have grown or are starting to grow apart. If its just sex, you are starting to bore him.

What's MORE than sex? Does he want to graft another penis onto himself???

I don't get it.

EDIT OK I read it again - he means he feels your relationship is ONLY about sex and that he wants more of an emotional attachment to you.

This is usually the arena of women to say things like this....

IF he isn't interested in having sex, and you are interested in having pre-marital sex, then you need to find some guy who will have sex with you and leave this guy.

He has made a decision regarding his sexuality and you should respect that.

How can you be sure that he is not getting it somewhere else, if not with another person, maybe himself. It is not a normal relationship that you have at this time. I think you should move on with someone new who will treat you like the love of his life. Good luck.
