You are charged roaming charges when your cell phone uses any other tower besides your providers tower to make and receive calls. Some cellular companys don't charge roaming charges anymore.....like T-Mobile. I believe all 3 calls would be charged as roam calls.

roaming for a cellphone means: if ur cellphone has aquired the signal w/ a cell tower tht ur carrier, i.e; sprint, verizon, at&t. does not have an agreement w/ the onwer/operater of said tower. all cell providers make agreements w/ echother to use 1anothers' towers; thts where the nation wide roaming comes frm. they all can't build out the whole nation or the world for tht matter, lol. all cell providers have condistion when it comes to what is considered roaming; u need to know and understand theses. so read the fine print on ur contract.

Roaming charges means you're out of the calling area (city) which your phone is registered to. So if you use your phone outside the calling area, you'll get roaming charges, which is basically long distance charges.
