You have no clue do you? 40 years ago, a democrat controlled congress gave the E P A the cleanair act, and with that the E P A stopped refineries from being built. The last one was finished in 1973, and not another building permit for a refinery has been issued since then, because the E P A says you can not build one to meet the clean air guide lines of today. So it is not Bush, it is the law of supply and demand. We have many many times the cars on the road today, and less refineries { because some have closed } than we had in the seventies, and you wonder why gas is going up. Lets ask why Clinton and the tree huggers banned drilling for oil in the Anwar and our national forrest

It has nothing to do with the GOP. It has to do with global supply and demand. Demand is far outpacing supply. We are pumping maximum oil now. China is not done growing. Prices will continue to rise. Also, there is much instability in the middle east. This also causes prices to rise.
Instead of looking to place blame, why not try adjusting your budget so you can afford the changes?

I wish people would figure out that the President cannot control oil prices. It is simply out of his control. We do not produce the majority of the oil we use, so he can't leverage the oil companies as he could if we did produce our oil and gas.
Remember the 2006 elections ? Nancy P and company ran on the idea that they would lower oil prices if they won control of congress. How did that work out ?
