no, what pisses is when people write my name as Even when it is Evan. I can understand if they are a little child, but some of my friends who I have known practically all my life still write Even.

I do not think that it would offend me but I would feel that the person writing to me should have a basic command of English to no the best grammatical way to write a letter. If such a letter was seeking employment then I would certainly not look beyond the letter and hope that the person was really educated and not just kidding.

No... I think there are more important things going on in the world. Like shouldn't we be more offended by the fact that tomorrow most Americans will be gorging themselves on all sorts of home cooked foods and passing out in front of the football game, when the soldiers in Iraq will not.

not unless I get singled out in a list of names all blessedly starting in uppercase letters, or if I sense that he/she is doing it deliberately, hinting at an offending/belittling purpose.

I've known some people who've gotten used to writing in lowercase, even for the beginning of their sentences, or when they write hurriedly. That's fine with me- I sometimes have the mood of writing my pseudonym/name in lowercase.

The real issue is- and this is a lot more frequent and demeaning- is God offended when His name is written in lowercase?

If they wrote their name and used a capital for the first letter then neglected to do the same for mine yes.

Well bumumble sorry i mean Bumumble I'd hunt them down and force them to write 50 lines all starting with my name as a capital letter. Then I'd publicly flog them. Then spit on them. Then disown them. Then I'd think about forgiving them but in the nick of time realise I was being a pussey and ignore them forever more. Rant over.

I ALWAYS write my own name and other people's names in lower case. I just prefer lower case letters.

There are too many things in this world that are worth getting upset about. My name being capitalized or not when someone writes it is not one of them.
