sleep outside in the tent when they want to put it up? did your parents let you do it when you were a kid?

Sure thing! What kid doesn't want to "forrage in the woods"...aka back yard. I can hear the crickets sing their encanting song now. Hey! everyone...let's grab our sleeping bags and tents and make a big tado over the holiday! Ready....Set........Go!!!!! ((Oh geeze...I guess I sound just like my kids)) Is this good at my age?

Since we have a very covered backyard with a lot of security lights and lots of family dogs, we feel safe in having our kids and their friends and cousins in the tents. And yes, our folks let us put up the tents when we were kids. I never felt as as safe then as I do now. And the kids have a great time!

We dont have a tent, but I do allow my kids to sleep in the back of my truck and stuff. We live in the country so its no problem. They also like to stay up all night long jumping on the trampoline and swimming in the pool (swimming only when it was still warm).
My parents did allow me to sleep in a tent when I was younger.

Well if its in your backgraden I guess if its fully surrounded by a fence and the neighbourhood is safe I guess sure, if you let the window open for them. If its in a camping site, I guess not.
Sounds a little unsecure the whole idea though. Get the dad or yourself to sleep in the tent with them lol Or get your own tent next to them :P Or get the dog to guard it.

Yes, my husband slept out there in a pup tent with them, but his back was killing him and he had to come inside in the middle of the night.

if i had kids i would let them at a certain age. but I was allowed but didn't ever have a tent at my mothers home. :P

My parents did but we lived on a farm outside the city, pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

i wasn't aloud, my sis and i just got to set up our barbie tent down stairs. It's your call , maybs sleep with them or put the dog in there with ??

when i was little and the tent was in the yard close to the house, yes. we kinda lived in the woods anyway.
when i got older and wanted to camp out, they pretty much knew i was throwing a party in the woods. haha.
