Individual ego is the root cause of all fears...
Ego fears to lose itself and its possessions... as it does not know that consciousness is based on individual ego.

Intimidation in my opinion is the number one cause of fear, we as a culture are so traumatized when we are wrong we are afraid to a make the right decision because somebody my question it. In alot of situations there is no right for any certian individual but yet we can make our own right decision because somebody might say something, we need to all stop worry about politally correctness and start doing what is right for the betterment of man kind. As Christian I know that the more I read and pray the better person I become, its as if spirituality is the best thing I can do as a person to overcome my fear of worrying what anyone else will say.

The only cause of fear is ignorance of man. If only man can understand a basic fact that each man carries GOD within his self, there shall be no fear. The ignorance of this basic truth is the cause of all fears. All other causes are but mere excuses of weak people to hide the guilt of their own deeds.

The causes of fear are many but we often feel fear either when our life or the life of another is threatened, if we did not have fear we wouldn't live very long.

In my opinion the cause of fear ( in general terms and not spiritual) is allowing one's fear to supress other instincts and emotions.Of course spirituality eliminates all such things as fear. But I mean that one should challenge his or her fears and do that or go through that which he fears then the fear will die its own death. Such a person will have no fears in the world. The one who fears is never able to really even live his life The negatve emotions and thoughts like fear are to be replaced with positive ones. This is not tough infact very easy- whatever emotions you encourage by following them will auomatically start guiding and dominating you. To kill the fear one has to learn to be brave. And soon n naturally total fearlessness will take place of fear.Just as sun kills darkness , forgiveness kills malice so its in ones hands to change the negative emotions to positive ones.

Also think it over :
Among the hardest parts of living in the modern world is stress and anxiety. With worries about work, the environment, the economy, natural disasters, terrorism, and the general state of the world, it seems that there is no end to the number of things to worry about. Though we cannot control many of these things, they still weigh on our minds and cause us stress and anxiety. However, despite these concerns, try to avoid stress and anxiety.
Stress and anxiety are, at their hearts, mental problems. They are conditions in which the mind is racing and constantly circling around certain concerns. The concerns may be seemingly mundane, but the concerns keep recurring until they push out all the other thoughts in the brain and create their own towering mass of worry. And this tower is, in itself self-propagating simply because stress and anxiety tend to create themselves because stress and anxiety cause the mind to condition itself to stress and anxiety.
there are many things in this world to worry about. However, worrying about them will not change many aspects of the modern world. Constantly thinking about work, the environment, the economy, or politics will not change them. Instead, resolve to change things that can change and do not worry about what cannot control.

Fear is false information appearing real.
WE are born with only two fears naturally. Fear of falling and loud noise.
All other fears Jesus can take care of because there is a verse and promise for all of them.

fear is a body's natural defense mechanism against what it considers harmful...a person is usually fearful of the unknown,or when he/she is startled...basically fear can be tackled by knowing the root cause of the problem...FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real...it all in the mind:)

Was it Teddy Roosevelt who said, "The only thing to fear is fear itself." (or one of the other presidents)? In that same vein, fear is the product of ignorance. Ignorance is the product of being asleep and unaware of our true nature. When we are experiencing this true nature, we are authentic, recognizing or merging with the Source of our being, which flows ceaselessly through us. In this essential state, we do not know fear. It is only at the level of conditioned personality that our ego-mind perceives fears, for here all is in constant change--unreliable, uncertain, and fallible. This uncertainty brings fear--fear of the inevitable changes that are a consistent part of the world of duality (the relative field). Fear (which is unreal) can be overcome or transcended through becoming aware of the false self (the ego-personality) from which we all operate when we are asleep to our Source, the One, which animates us. This Source is eternal, constant, unchanging, and permanent, and abides in the Absolute field. To awaken to the authentic self, one must begin to strip away the false layers of conditioned ego. This "deconstructing" of the false self finally brings one to one's true nature. Only in this way will one be able to experience our natural fearless state. I am Sirius
