I think that we are already reminded enough of everything that is wrong with the world. I don't think reflecting on things like that will do any of us any good. If you're happy then you're cheerful, fun, relaxed and people enjoy your company. People don't tend to want to know negative, unhappy or angry people.
By actually celebrating hate you will probably end up feeling depressed and unhappy so why not just join in with the merriment and maybe just have friends around and sit there and ignore each other, listen to heavy music and rant about everyone that has annoyed you. That way you get what you want and maybe avoid spreading a little less hatred in the world in the process. :O)

To whoever asked if he'd heard of murder rape etc. ; did it ever occur to you that perhaps those things happen BECAUSE there's no set day to just get all the Hatred out of your system?
Christmas Cat; That's not true
Whoever said that about Halloween: Do you know anything about Halloween?
Now. I think that might not be such a bad idea, if certain things were set. Like if you kill somebody you still go to Jail. First it would get anger out of people's systems. At least for a few days. And who knows, maybe after all that reflecting someone would say "Well that's screwed up! Let's change it."

I would suggest that anyone that is negative, and enjoys bringing negativity to light, find an island somewhere far far away, and set up shop there.
There is plenty of hate, despair, and destruction in this world, why do we need to celebrate it? There is absolutely no reason to celebrate in despair. Like I said, anyone that wants to wallow in the mire, needs to do so, elsewhere.
A little hatred never hurt anyone? How do you know that? I almost wanted to ask what planet are you from....but I won't. Hatred causes a lot of woe, you may not see it the moment you display it, but it can hurt people. I feel sorry for people that find pleasure in hating. They are very sorry individuals.
It's early, but Merry CHRISTMAS, and Happy New Year to all the jolly folk out there :) :)

You my friend is a negative attitude what makes you feel happy and at ease with your self . If one can't smile and think of a positive life whats the purpose of your life to make others just as miserable as you ? Don't the anger inside you knot up your guts and give you head aches and make you want to just stomp some ones butt?
Go for it my young friend Ive been there it sucks I would rather put a smile on anothers face than a frown .
Here's something to try for the fun of it go into a store to one clerk be cheerful and pleasant having some one watch their behavior the next person they wait on they are the same to, then in the same store go to another clerk and have some one to observe and be rude swear if you must but be obnoxious and see the out come .
Love , Laugh , and be Happy

Holidays are something to celebrate during a short period of the year. Every other seems to be filled with hatred across many parts of the globe, why would a holiday of hate be any different to any other day?

I don't think you actually need a holiday to celebrate it, unfortunately hate seems to be celebrated every day in today's world. Just have a look around you, all the terrorism, war....we spend the whole year surrounded by it, its just lovely to still be able to have a celebration that encourages love and goodwill. Its just a shame we cant swap them around and have one day when we celebrate hate and the rest of the year celebrating love and kindness.

Hate is what causes stress, illnesses, wars ..... and should never be celebrated! Why would anyone want to celebrate hate in the first place except maybe if they are psychotic!
Give peace a chance, I say!

i dont think there should be a holiday devoted to hatred. cuz if there ever is, everyone would take their hate on people and kill them. yeah--sounds crazy but thats something i think would happen...
