Members of my family will gather and some of us will overeat. (Not me--I quit doing that years ago.) I am smoking a turkey for part of the meal--it will be done this evening before I go to work and we will put it away to warm up for tomorrow's feast. We will have at least two turkeys (neither of them human) and a lot of veggies, stuffing, gravies, potatoes and such.

It will be a nice family gathering. We will give thanks for our blessings. Our life isn't perfect and is not without a few obstacles, but God has blessed us in so many ways we will put those aside for a day.

How will you observe this wonderful holiday? If you have no plans, you can join us!

I will have a Thanksgiving like your with my husbands side of the family. I will try to squeeze in a visit at the nursing home with my mom. She doesn't know what day it is anymore. The next day our two year old grandson is bringing his mom and dad to stay with us for the rest of the weekend.

I am terrible a praying out loud in a big group, but I have so much to be thankful for this year that I am going to try to say something. That will shock everyone!

I am going to try not to eat too much. White meat, cranberry and a small amount of stuffing and potatoes. If there is a salad or plain green vegetable, I will eat some of that. I would like to loose ten pounds this holiday season instead of gaining ten pounds.

Thank you all for your friendship during the year. I pray you all have a wonderful day with family, friends and the television (football)! Granny

Since I am going to be alone as usual for the holiday, I am going to work, even though I won't be there for very long, make deviled eggs and a pumpkin pie then in the afternoon I will go to IHOP and get a turkey dinner to go. Drink a little wine and watch America's team better known as the Dallas Cowboys knock the NY Jets out of the sky!
