Not history...you just have to find a man who likes to give those sorts of gifts. It's not gone, just sometimes hidden.

I dont' think its history.. or it's old fashioned for nowadays. I just think Men are not like that anymore.. Which personally SUCK! They Care less now they don't try as much as back in the days. Now it's all about mainly sex.

I think it will never get old with girls and guys need to realize.. So the few out there that want a girl need to start stepping up and give flowers and chocolate. All girls like that never gets old for us!!

No I would be willing to say that a female would really be appreciative if a guy brought her flowers, or even a small box of chocolate. This is simple and very romantic and it tells the lady that she is really like by the guy. In life most of the time the small things mean so much more, like if your boyfriend left a card on your carseat saying hello, just wanted to touch base to let you know that I am thinking about you. Nice, simple, thoughtful and to the point.

I don't really think that old fashioned romance is old because take a look around every thing from the 80's for example is coming back. And if a guy takes the time to go to the store even though no one does that any more i think it is really nice rather than buy you some diamonds (even though they're nice) they are sweet and don't just want to buy you!?

Not really. It still happens, but the young people of today tend to be more selfish, in terms of of 'I'm the important one here', and the giving of flowers and chocolates has probably declined. Most young girls would be totally surprised if given these things, and would think "wonder what he's after"?

Look chocolates make you fat, Flowers give you hay-fever, why would someone who professes to love you want to subject you to such tortures, I say romance occurs every day, simple things like asking how your day went and actually listening to your reply, offering to make you a cuppa or washing up without being prompted works for me and I've been married for 33 years, in fact if my man brings me chocolates I ask him what he's done!!!!

My husband could not make me any happier than to give me flowers and a box of chocolates.

I think the concept is "unnecessary attention and frills", not the particular thing (flowers or chocolates). Who knows ... these days, it may be the nose ring that sets off her "Oh ... he cares ..." button.

I still see people getting them, but usually at the start of a relationship... After a few months, you'll be lucky to get a peck on the cheek!
