We dont celebrate it (England) but i was in San Francisco on Thanksgiving in 2005 and i enjoyed it...........

I have a 5 day weekend. I have the day before thanksgiving (Wednesday), thanksgiving (Thursday) and the day after thanksgiving (Friday). Then the rest of the weekend.

Good for you! I think so much we forget to have time just for ourselves. Especially when you have children / husband.
I, unfortunately will not have this luxury this year. Thanksgiving day is the only day I get off because I just started this job and have no PTO time built up :(

I am usually off on Thursday...its not my schedule work day...but for this holiday I will be off 6 days....3 of them I had to use my vacation time for...
