I have finally snapped about these petrol prices and I'm fed up with the stupidly high costs and taxes put on them. Where can I get involved with campaining or hopefully help out with the next fuel protest (which I hope is bloody soon!!)

High prices is happening globally. Even in the price sensitive USA prices are climbing. Thing is oil is not lasting forever. Most major oil reserves have been discovered and tapped.
The dream of endless petrol is coming to a close and with more and more rarity the prices are set to increase more and more. Alternatives need to be found.

I couldn't agree more.

I live in a country that sells you the petrol . Believe me the money isn't filtering back into our economy just into the hands of a chosen few!

Our dinar is pegged to the dollar as well, so that although we still get cheap petrol, ( I won't tell you how cheap or grown men will cry), the price of everything else we buy is sky rocketing as it has to be packaged, transported etc from a high fuel payment country.

What is annoying is that as oil prices rise the price of fuel may increase by 0.1 of a penny per litre from the wholesaler, but the government adds about 0.7 pence in duty and VAT.

Duty should be capped and not rise with market changes.

PS This is clearly a UK question, answers from other countries tend to be not relevant

All a bit pointless ,,, To the average person the increased costs are probably less than 2 pounds a week, so they will not get too agitated. Now if the price went up to 2 pound a litre then there might be some trouble.

I remember the last fuel protests in Wales. Doubt we would have another one now, as the ring leader was made an assembly member, so probably he would not dare to start another one.

Your protesting won't do much good when the seawater is lapping round your ankles!
Fuel is still too cheap, because we're still using more of it than the planet can sustain.

Travel for free. Get a bike! If you want the privilege of motoring, you have to be prepared to pay the price!

All the petrol garages should be barricaded by protesters. The whole country would crash and they would have to give us cheaper petrol!
