I like Johnathan the best. Christian is a nice name too, but I don't prefer it.

I like both names quite a bit, so it's hard to choose.

The shortcoming I see with Christian is that the likely nickname is Chris. I don't care for it - and, BTW, neither does my brother Christian! The one possible nickname is Ian, but that's kind of a stretch.

So if you're anti-nickname, Christian probably works best for you.

Personally, I'm pro-nickname, so I'd use Johnathan. (Though I think I'd go with Jonathan.) That way, he could be Jon, Jonny, Jack, Nat or Nate, depending on what seemed to suit him best. And he could be different things over the course of his life. I like a flexible name.

Best wishes!

I say go with Christian. It's really cute, and there are way too many johnathan's.

I really like both. That's a tough one to decide between, but I would probably pick Johnathan.

I like Jonathan (never seen it spelt with the h before). Christian is a nice enough name when used in full, but the nickname Chris doesn't appeal to me at all, so that would discourage me from using that name. Jon or John are okay, but Chris- no so much.
