The majority of Democrats in Congress voted against the Iraq War Resolution. . In the House of Representatives, Democrats voted 126 against and 81 for. In the Senate, the vote was 29 for and 21 against.
I think that the some of the ones who supported the resolution, although stating various reasons, delegated Congress’ war powers to Bush trusting that he had even more information that could justify an ultimate decision to use force. That trust was misplaced.

Fabricated or not....It was essential in ridding the ENTIRE world of such strong, sophisticated, and dangerous extremist that could cripple our economy literally keeping food from reaching certain parts of our nation. They could have and still could cripple our economy with the right strike. this isn't simply about saving a few thousand lives with a large scale attack "disrupting" our way of life. It is their goal and it is attainable to make our last depression look like we simply missed a meal one day. I don't say this to panic people but I'd bet a million dollars the Bush administration down plays this threat because it could destabilize the economy setting us up for a death blow by terrorists. The Democrats whom hold the power realize this also and use it to their advantage and tout, "Unjust war give us power and we will change it!!".
In reality they will do as usual , change nothing and continue the war on terror as it should be done. They all know it and will find new demands that require the current path placing a different name on there plan and gladly receive the accolades that go along with victory.

Well, it wasn't actually "fabricated" it was specific chunks of intel PICKED OUT of the reports. Just the items which would support bush's big plan to invade Iraq.
And for the people naively suggesting that the "intel was available and any of them could have taken it home with them...."
Uh? HELLO???
First of all - why would they have? Why would they have thought for a MOMENT that the President of the United States would have lied on such a tremendously criminal level???
Secondly, NONE of them READ anything that they pass. They "don't have the time."
Old news.

Being naive is always easier than seeking truth and choosing to see it. I'm slightly left, however, but pretty independent, and I certainly get upset when dems forget the involvement of their own politicians.. selective memories leave to the falsification of writing history.

Personally, what I would like to know is why people actually buy into lies that either "side" isn't standing in BS up to their eyeballs.
People are so clueless about our government and politicians.

I guess I still don`t get the fabricated intelligence on Bush yet...Clinton (both of them ) Harry Ried, Joe Biden,Teddy Kennedy with 95% of all Democrats said Saddam had WMD...The part they all seem to leave out is this was before Bush even ran for president...Sounds like this is right out of the Democratic playbook,,,What ever your doing or saying, blame it on someone else first

They didn't have enough balls to stand up to Bush because they were either with us or against us.The media didn't question this either because all they could see was ratings

The intelligence was available to every congressman and every Senator. They could have taken it home with them.
All they had to do was go to the library of congress and sign for it.
Only two took advantage of it. Neither of them are running for president and they voted in the affirmative.
One of them was John Murtha.
