He struggled a bit last season and now when he's on a superb run of goals he gets injured. I know he's good but is he World Player of the Year material? if so, in how many years?

Wayne Rooney have the potential to be one of the best strikers ever in the world, look at last year yes he struggled alot in the open months but when he got some sense knocked into him did you realized how many goals he had even after that long a drought i have faith in him and my team when he comes back the goalkeepers better be aware cause he will be raining in goal, MAN UTD ALL THE WAY

People forget that Rooney contributes alot more to a team than just goals.
I think he's potentially one of the best forwards in the world, he has passion, strength, determination, skill, a lethal shot.
I think in an interrupted season Rooney would be top scorer & def be world player of the year material.

Discipline wise he's a massive liability (World cup Q/F against Portugal). he needs to be constantly reminded that he mustn't respond to the oppositions goading, and he mustn't spit his dummy if he's substituted. Otherwise he's talented.
