Okay okay I agree with you that she does talk about herself an awful bit for it to be a talk show whereas we are supposed to get to know her guests. I actually enjoy the show and think it is entertaining to watch but it is a bit contradictive. She will have one episode about fashion no-nos then the next about politics of racism. This may be so that she can appeal to everyone though. I noticed this season she seems WAY sillier! In a way, I like her quirky attitude (BUT NOT HER TALKING ABOUT HERSELF 24/7) and I agree when someone else says she is not aware she is being too talkative or rude, that is just her personality!
To me, she tries too hard to be funny or goofy and its hella awkward. She also tries to imitate Oprah which she can NEVER do! Um, she is a former model, paid for taking photos--I think she is smart to an extent but she kind of acts like a bimbo most of the time so idk if it is to boost ratings or what! Being a bimbo helped out Jessica Simpson so idk!
As far as the race issues are concerned, I don't recall her only dealing with race. I think she focuses on really complex issues that deal with all social issues, not just race actually for instance talking to your children about sex and even body image (how women perceive other women). So, you cant really say she only focuses on race b/c she really does not. I like that she brings up certain elements of it, but I dislike that she does not really give the viewers any advice on how to avoid being racist, or discriminating against those diff from you. That does kinda bother me and I am like well what was the point of your show?? I'm offended as a minority actually.
Still, I disagree that she does too much race topics, if anything she does too many shallow topics. People try to make it like there is no discrimination issue, when there really is. Just because you have not been subject to discrimination does not mean you cannot open your mind to understand someone else's issues with that. Maybe you have and you just do not know it...for being female, for being too young or old, for being a certain size, for having a certain color hair, etc. and so on. It effects all of us regardless of what race you are.

I think she is a total airhead...... she has some really good race issues... but she tends to go a bit overboard... once you watch her for a while, you will realize that she is very quirky, she dosent mean to belittle or talk about herself, it is just her personality. AN AIRHEAD.... but at the same time, she can have some really good guests ands topics.... I only watch this because it happens to be on while I am getting ready for work and my roommate watches everyday!!!! UGH!!!

I stopped watching her show after she said the word "fierce" 1,000 times. I think she's incredibly self centered and basically clueless. Out of touch with us regular people almost as much as Oprah.

i like this show. but it is more for younger ages (such as 20s and 30s), although some of her topics could be better, the majority to me are interesting, but oprah is so much better. oprah is for like al ages, and is the most watched talk show ever.

she talks about the horrors of being fat, and has the whole "im fat, so what!" campaign thing going on. but then she had on her show where she felt the need to correct everyone who saw the false tabloid about her gaining weight. it seem like shes a hypocrite. how can she encourage people to accept themselves if she cant accept herself.

I love Tyra's show. i think she is positive role model and that most of her topics are relevant today. as for thr race topics, shes not making it worse. she is bringing awareness because there are a lot of naive peole who think that racism doesn't exist anymore. only when people start admitting to the problem can we solve it. she is doing a great job!
