When I see others being enthusiastic about Christmas, it makes the occasion more enjoyable.

Freakishly, it used to be going to the mall the very first thing on Christmas Eve Day. It wasn't neccessarily the spirit of commerc, but usually there were decent decorations and a fair amount of good will, as well as the promise that there was at least one day where people wouldn't treat one another as badly. An expectation of joy, if you will.
There was also an album "Winter's Coming Home" sung by the Monks of The Weston Priory (NOT chanting) which evoked the promise of contemplation that winter and Christmas offer. I'm including a link to it. http://www.westonpriory.org/esales/winters.html
Now, I like to get up around 4:30-5, make a good pot of coffee and watch the sun rise over the mountains.

Watching the smiles on children's faces sparks my spirit! I get a lot of pleasure giving to children less fortunate than mine. Sharing at Christmas is what makes it all worthwhile for me.

Usually it's seeing egg nog in the stores. It's one of the first associations I make that Christmas is here.

The minute I see Egg Nog at the grocery stores, I'm in the mood! For us, we get it on our Thanksgiving (Oct 7-Canadian) so I start early! I'm ready to make my homemade baileys and I've got a good start to the Xmas shopping and xmas food for Xmas Eve...I'm half way there!

Bills bills bills,
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It's easy.
All you need is bills, all you need is bills,
All you need is bills, bills, bills is all you need.
Bills, bills, bills, bills, bills
All you need is bills, all you need is bills,
All you need is bills, bills, bills is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is bills, all you need is bills,
All you need is bills, bills, bills is all you need.
All you need is bills (all together now)
Sorry it use to be fun when you were a kid....there were no bills.
