I remember the original movie with Roland Young as Topper and Cary Grant and Constance Bennett as the Kirby's as well as the TV show with Anne Jeffries. Never saw the one with the Charlie's Angels lady. I also read a book about Topper once.

Donya, the movies starred Roland Young, Constance Bennett, Cary Grant and Joan Blondell. It was the TV series that had Leo, Anne and Robt.

I remember Topper with Anne Jeffries and Leo G. Carroll.
It was really a funny series. I don't remember who played
George Kirby, but I do have a CD of the show.

I had to look at imdb.com on this one. I remember the original with Cary Grant. (I'm too young to have seen it anywhere but on television :) I'm surprised I didn't watch the tv show with Kate Jackson - maybe I still held "Charlie's Angels" against her. My husband fell in love with her when she was on "The Scarecrow and Mrs. King," but that was later. Somehow, I never recognized Glinda the Good as Mrs Topper in the original movie. I wonder if I can find it on dvd now that they are doing a remake. Steve Martin? He must be Mr. Topper, not George Kirby!
Edit - get some sleep, Wally! Or are you getting ready to shop on Friday? Some of the stores will be open at 4:00 a.m.!!!

I used to love those movies with Leo J Carroll as Topper, Anne Jefferies and Robert Sterling as the Kerbys. I think it was on Tv in the 50's as a series also but I didn't like the one that was most recent. Thanks for the reminder .We enjoyed those movies back then .

For umpteen extra points....I remember my parents having the books about Topper on their shelves...I can recall only one title, "Topper Takes A Trip" - any others out there with book recollections? Wasn't the theme of Topper with his stylish ghostly couple a take-off on the truly great play, "Blithe Spirit" [Notel Coward] which was later made into a flick. Remember the medium/psychic Madame Arcati on her bicycle?

Topper! I remember watching the T.V. show but that's it. I may have some episodes confused with the Mr. Belvedere movies though, it all kind of rolls into a collage from the way way back.
