Where does the interest from the Madeleine "mortgage repayment" fund go? It does not go into the "fund" itself. Are the McFraudsters using it as private income? The interest should ammount to approx 1500 pounds per week. What exactly is being done with this money? Where is it going? Is it another McSwindle? Why are the McCanns and their board of directors so backwards in coming forwards with detailed information as to how this money is being spent. Surely if they had nothing to hide there would be no need to be so secretive.

Pat... where is the link to say that the interest does go back into the fund please? .. I haven't seen that at all and the 'fund' doesn't seem to grow bigger with the interest going back into it, does it?? thanks!!

M*a*r*y *Christmas* ... if you are not interested in trances questions, why have you bothered to answer?? is it just to spit out some venom ...would you rather no-body questioned a suspicious case and just go along with the ever changing stories without question?? would you rather support a couple of supposedly intelligent people, who would rather have a night out with their friends, than look after 3 babies..left all alone in a unlocked apartment, with doors onto a main road??
oh and I am not a 'ficko' ...are you?? you sound it!!

The people who have donated money and are concerned about this fund should contact the directors and demand to know what is happening with the money.
For people who have donated money and are happy with the way the fund is run, then so be it.
For people who have not donated already, then think again where yr money may be going.

Why this fund was not made a charity in the first place is a mystery to me.

i know a lot of people seem to have grabbed on to this subject and seem to be a bit obsessive but there does seem to be a lack of transparence with regard to this fund and what the money is being spent on - and if anything innapropriate is happening, why dont we (the public) have a right to know seeing that they donated it ?

mind you i dont know if it is not being repaid back into the fund - i would have assumed it was like any other bank account

First thing, did you donate to the fund? If not (very likely!) then why the hell are you so bothered?
How do you or anyone else have any idea what is being done with the interest, you don't. It probably gets paid back into the fund, simple.

I think this matter is only important for the people who gave money to the fund!

i didn't, therefore its none of my business.

Who knows ? Still, I think this will be a one off. I think no one will ever be able to tap into public sympathy for such a large sum again due to the way this lot have behaved. Who do they think they are ? Well, who did Clarence Mitchel used to work for ? I hope they are not paying him a ' ludicrous ' salary !!

You've asked why don't they put it back into the fund, then questioned yourself and asked "where" does it go, are they using it as private income. Why should the Board of Directors answer to you, who has NOT contributed? You question yourself again "surely" if they had nothing to hide...

You are off your tree. ALL interest is automatically applied back to the account earning it. Does the interest on your JSA for one day, go to your Swiss bank account? NUMPTEY.

One thing is for sure, the interest from the Find Madeleine Fund ain't going into your bank account is it.. aww diddums, you skint again?

Do us all a favour, when your bored and you don't know something, please don't come on here and ramble insanely. Nobody is interested in your tripe, apart from a few FICKO's that hang off your every stupid word.

Good day.
