Because an Iraqi court found him guilty of crimes punishable by hanging. That same court sentenced him to death.

Maybe you should find a few Iraqi nationals to talk to about that. They can tell you about the horrors of his reign, least of which was murdering a couple hundred thousand Kurds with (gasp!) chemical weapons.

I don't know. We used to play basketball back in the day. Although he had this terrible habit of bringing his sons to the games. Whenever I lost they either tried to throw acid on me or gas me with chemical weapons.
