Popcorn Turkey

THE TURKEY SHOT OUT OF THE OVEN
The turkey shot out of the oven
And rocketed into the air,
It knocked every plate off the table
And partly demolished a chair.
It ricocheted into a corner
And burst with a deafening boom,
Then splattered all over the kitchen,
Completely obscuring the room.
It stuck to the walls and the windows,
It totally coated the floor,
There was turkey attached to the ceiling
Where there'd never been turkey before.
It blanketed every appliance,
It smeared every saucer and bowl,
There wasn't a way I could stop it,
That turkey was out of control.
I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure,
And thought with chagrin as I mopped,
That I'd never again stuff a turkey
With popcorn that hadn't been popped!

a hot dog out of the microwave
and I'm going to try this tomorrow:
BAKED STUFFED TURKEY
10-20 lb. baking turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good, or make your own)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT) Salt, pepper, season to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt, pepper and seasonings. Fill cavity with stuffing and unpopped popcorn. Place turkey in baking pan, with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen carefully for the popping sounds.
When the turkey's @ss blows the oven door open and the turkey flies across the room, it's done.

A potato,out of the microwave,my Nephew thought it'd be fun to watch,I didn't!
That same Nephew,wrapped a dozen or so 4th of July sparklers with duct tape,making it a bomb,so to speak,lit it and flung it towards a barrel,missing it,landing in the back of one of our pick up trucks,luckily it had a long fuse so I tossed it in the barrel quickly!My ol' man had some of his ammo in back of the truck!
I'm thinkin' my Nephew may self destruct some day..=)
