I am. Pregnant and proud and plus size. I have actually lost 10 pounds from the start of my pregnancy. And another plus factor, i will barely show through most of my pregnancy until the very very end. Lucky me. There is also no need for me to gain excessive amounts of weight......

Something like 50% of women of child bearing age are plus sized, so overweight women get pregnant all the time.

most people in the america are overweight... thats just a fact sorry ladies... and there is no problem with overweight/plus size people to get pregnant... as long as you are healthy and you take your pregnancy as serious as you should then you probably wont have complications... ask any doctor... I am over weight and my pregnancy has been nothing but a joy and so easy... NO COMPLICATIONS... and a friend of mine who is of normal weight and pregnant has soooooooo many things wrong with her pregnancy... just keep healthy... excersize a bit... it will help with giving birth later... and if it takes you awhile to get pregnant thats just normal... for most people who are trying to get pregnant it sometimes doesnt happen for like a year... keep your head up...

I was a size 14 when I got pregnant with my daughter and I had a completly normal pregnancy and a healthy 7Lb10Oz baby. She was born via C-section but that was due to her being breech. The only think to worry about is trying not to gain to much weight during the pregnancy. I gained 25Lbs while I was pregnant and everything worked out fine.

Of course it is possible. I am a plus-size woman and happily pregnant with my first child. I have been having a very healthy pregnancy thus far...no gestational diabetes, no swelling, no high blood pressure...and I have not gained an excessive amount of weight.

Before I became pregnant I had changed my lifestyle and started working out and eating healthy (weight watchers)...this has definitely helped me in my pregnancy.

Of course they can, anyone can have a baby it doesn't matter how big or small you are so long as you have regular periods and ovulating.

Although you need to be aware that in plus size pregnant women there can be more complications.

Check out this website on plus size pregnant women it has lots of pics i found it quite inspiring!

Yes. It just isn't always as healthy for the mother or the baby. But it can be done, and often is, I think. They tend to run a higher risk of gestational diabetes. They also tend to need to keep their weight gain at a lower rate than smaller women, and it is watched closely by their doctor/midwife.

Yes. There are health risks, as with most things when overweight. You can be overweight and pregnant though!

Sometimes it's harder to conceive if you're overweight, but you can definitely get pregnant from it.
