Those people that you can always hear over the general laughter of a group. It's too loud.

Haha that's funny how you're mentioning that...my mom just told me to shut up because i was laughing too hard during a phone call. Well, I'm guilty for laughing above the group. I do it on accident , and i usually catch myself before people give me rueful stares. I don't do it often though, something has gotta be real funny to get me laughing that hard. But yeah, in the mist of the excitement you forget about others, and just let your emotion roam wild. Some people like myself will apologize for such loudness, others don't care much of the harm they did to your ear drums. Some people can't help but laugh loud due to their high pitched voices. And others, know that they are being loud and simply don't care!

Perhaps what they hear is not the same as what others hear because they may be going deaf and not know it.

Or maybe, they enjoy laughing out loud because it attracts attention and they love it.

It depends what the situation is - if it's at a comedy gig or theatre or any live performance it should be OK. If it's at a formal setting like a wedding, funeral or other private functions then you should tell those loud laughers to quieten down.

Yes, my daughter and I were at the Simpsons new movie, it was crowded and at the last minute a couple came and sat beside us. The girl, maybe 17, laughed very loud through the whole movie. At first it seemed real annoying but soon it got to where everytime she'd laugh, we'd laugh because we were laughing at her laugh. It was a goofy laugh she had. I figure she was just oblivious to her behaviour being offensive to
those around her. I always say" Pull your head out of your butt will you?"

You would just HATE me then. When I laugh, I Really laugh. My Grandma warned me that no man would ever marry me with a laugh like that. I don't care, I just roll on the floor beating my fists, I find things so funny. Usually my laugh is infectous. In fact I feel a case of the giggles coming on right now...

They are probably a bit deaf. Or they don't really get the joke and they're laughing really loudly so no-one guesses... he who laughs last etc etc

You could start holding your hands over your ears and screaming when they do it - they might get the idea then!
:o)

They laugh loudly as they were brought up that way. Either they were not told to laugh or speak in less volume or they never bothered to listen.

Maybe they're hard of hearing, arrogant, or generally oblivious. Yes, it sucks.

sometimes you just see or hear something funny and you just let it out. its like a cough, you can't control it, you just cover your mouth as fast as you can before people get upset.
