...hmm well if the recording is going on in his house then no. To be honest the only way I think a person is going to get in trouble for video taping a person is if it is a person the recorded person and family does not know. Other then that I don't think so. Ever try telling him that it bothers you and he needs to stop.

Yes, in the United States, it is ILLEGAL to tape someone's phone conversation without informing all parties that the conversation is being taped.
