My bf had a wife who abandoned him for 10 years when he got sick. She came back for asking support to their child who is now in first year high school and my bf agreed to support the child. We met when they are already separated for years, and now we are planning to get married legally. I just want to know if we can still have a chance to get married legally if he will file an annulment with his wife?

Why didnt he divorce her sooner. In Australia, you only have to be separated for a year to get a divorce. It is a no fault divorce. If it can be proven that they havent lived together for 10 years then it seems logical a divorce would be granted. I dont know the laws in the country where you live, so it could be totally different. Your best bet is to speak to a lawyer and find out what the Law of your country are.

He can't file an annulment, but he can file a divorce. As long as she and he have not spent one night together in the last year. He will be granted a divorce easily.

Depands on which counrty u r living. In india for Hindus It is illigal while for some other communities its legal.

But It realy alarming for u. ur bf have very soft corner with his 1st wife.
