My fiance and I were traveling to Las Vegas this weekend. It is to be our "pre-honeymoon". I want to wine and dine her, take her out on the town, and really show off my way-cool man skills that I have developed over the course of the last few years. I need to find a really ritzy hotel (Bellagio, Paris, Venitian, etc.) for under $100. I know it sounds like a stretch. Does anyone have inside vegas info to share? I'm okay with lying, cheating, or stealing to get this done. I have a woman to impress!

I don't know where you're traveling from, or what you are considering the "weekend", but your best bet is a last minute trip like the ones offered at http://www.lasvegas-wow.com/last_minute_vacation_deals.htm

Here you have your choice of hotel and flight, or hotel and car, etc. An example from New York would be "If you leave on Friday and return on Sunday, with airfare and everything it is approximately $1000 per person for the weekend, if you can return on Monday - you'll reduce that price by about $300 per." The same would apply to most other cities you would come from. You can also choose just a hotel!

Check it out, it is the only way to go at the last minute.

Since it's a holiday weekend, chances are, the hotels are going to be pretty close to sold out. This means that they are asking (and getting) pretty much top dollar. On www.vegas.com, Bellagio is $329 a night, Wynn is $454 a night, and Venetian is $301 a night. NOBODY (not even the old places downtown is less that $110 a night.) The Super 8 is $125 a night!!
You can *TRY* getting a last minute deal from something like Priceline, but you're gonna still pay more than $100 a night.

Hi! Check out: The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is a major downtown property occupying an entire city block on Fremont Street. One of the last bastions of old Las Vegas, the Four Queens makes liberal use of mirrors and bright lights in public spaces. The hotel's casino is the jackpot capital of the world, with the best variety of the most popular slots and video poker. Centrally located in the casino is the Nickel Palace, where the nickel-slot player reigns supreme.

The Four Queens has four restaurants, the most notable of which is Hugo's Cellar. This is one of the few gourmet places in downtown. It has a romantic atmosphere that is a favorite among locals, perhaps because each female diner receives a rose.

The twin 19-story towers offer 690 clean, comfortable rooms. The amenities that follow are available for a fee: hairdryer, iron/ironing board, safe, refrigerator, and cable television. The extra person charge is 15.

Approximately $78 for Two nights with taxes.

Try looking on www.vegas.com. My family and I just got back from a trip to Vegas yesterday. We booked rooms at the Flamingo for two nights for a total price of $181.00. We paid an extra $10 for the trip cancellation that we didn't need. The price included a room upgrade and a free monorail ride. The room ended up being really nice! Everyone in our party was very pleased. I will definitely use them again. Also, if you get yourself a Total Rewards card (good at Harrah's, Flamingo, Paris, Cesar's Palace, Bally's, and The Rio) and use it enough, you'll be able to get free rooms within a couple of months or rooms at a really low cost.

Good luck to you both and have fun!!!

$100 on the Strip NO WAY. Now if you are willing to go a little off the Strip, try Orleans or Gold Coast or Rio, where you might get one. Just look them up by web site. Orleans and Gold Coast (across the street from Rio and Palms) are Coast Casino properties while Rio is Harrah's.

Try the sites www.lasvegas.com, www.vegas.com and you might find something that is not over $200 a night plus.

I would guess you are not going to accomplish what you are looking for although I hope you do! My best advice for a great hotel would be the Golden Nugget downtown. It is a 4 star hotel and is beautiful and top notch. You can always catch a cab to the strip but Freemont Street has plenty to offer as well. I am guessing your lady would be more comfortable in a great hotel on Freemont Street than a not so great hotel near the strip. Good luck. :)

I would also say off strip, but that's not an option. Try playing in one of those casinos until you get compted. High rollers gets suites, but it could also depend on how much time instead of money that you can get comped. Be sure to get a card so the casino can track your play. Also let the casino host know that you want to impress your lady, maybe even tell'em your proposeing. If they're like the TV show "Las Vegas" they'll help out.
