Do you guys think minority of women that have had abortion would have post abortion syndrome while the majority of other women don't?

I don't trust the statistics. I think there's more since women tend to be not opened about their sufferings from abortion. But I think there may be more women that don't have post abortion syndrome since imnotsorry.com has more stories than the stories of women that do regret their abortions.

You can go back and forth all day with statistics, but I feel that stressing post abortion syndrome is not fruitful in the debate because it doesn't answer the key question "when does life begin?"

If having post abortion syndrome made abortion wrong, then only some abortions would be wrong and that doesn't make sense.

They are ALL wrong because an innocent human always dies, and just because many women feel ok after their abortion doesn't make it right.

I don't know, like the person above says it's really hard with such an emotive issue, because there are so many people against abortion they keep on coming up with things and trying to prove/justify that abortions cause bad things etc. even when more neutral studies or others show they don't.

I suspect a majority don't, but that's just my view.

Also, I think a bit of regret or suffering is different from post-abortion syndrome, isn't it?

Actually, a survey of post-abortive women found that:

60% said that the decision to abort made their lives worse
and
94% regretted the decision to abort.

Source: "Survey of Reaction to Abortion," The Post-Abortion Review, Fall 1994, p. 6-8.

You can read some stories of women who aborted and regretted it here:

If you or someone you know has aborted a child and needs help, I highly recommend this free online counseling program:

Just about all of the women counselors involved with this post-abortive organization have aborted babies themselves and can help.

I feel like all abortion statistics are iffy. For every study that comes out that "conclusively finds" that abortion has detrimental effects most of the time to a woman's body, there is another study that "conclusively finds" the opposite. It's one of those hot-button issues with difficult to trust information. Ever see "Thank You For Smoking?" It shows how oftentimes really powerful lobbies have scientists working on their side who are paid to prove their case. To quote the movie, they find scientists who could "disprove gravity" if they wanted to :P

some human beings think of the top justifies the means. That certainly incorporates neo-Cons who push the "post Abortion Syndrome" lie. people who'll lie approximately which will lie approximately something. once you're everywhere close to such human beings, save a radical eye on them; they are probable to help themselves to something no longer belonging to them that isn't nailed down!
