Fans are saying that Brady is now a candidate for Greatest ever. But where should the limelight really be, how does Moss make Qb's so great ? Remember, in '98, a journeyman Viking QB, B.Johnson, put in one of the greatest Offenses ever. Culpepper, with Moss in '04, was on pace for 50+td's, then Moss went down, DC did not even break the 40's. Now Brady is putting up huge numbers, and is being called, potentially, the greatest ever.sure he is the QB, but in this case, I would almost say WR-QB, rather than QB-WR. I almost want to put Moss 1st when regarding the numbers, because he is just freakishly the reason for the QB's success. I would say Brady is the most succesful QB right now, but he does not have the release of Marino, the arm like Favre, the running like Vick, the energy of Manning. He has the best concentration, and the best receiver I have ever seen, but in this situation, I want to say that you better give Moss the credit, and almost put him before the QB

Moss is clearly more of the reason than Brady. He has always been gifted at making nearly impossible catches.

Brady is most certainly NOT a candidate for GOAT, but he is still going to be one of the greatest, even with the offensive line that he's had to help him out.

Nobody passing to Moss in Oakland instantly went from bottom feeder to best ever. Culpepper was lucky to have Moss, it did make him look better then the bust he was/is. Brady had done more with less big names than Cunningham, Culpepper, and the Raiders QBs combined before Moss even suited up as a Patriot. Please lol. Tom Brady has talent at last. Moss isn't the only headache, Stallworth and Welker are creating mismatches as well. Brady just thinks, am I going for 15 with Welker, 30 with Stallworth, or 50+ with Moss? You do not nail near 80% completion pct, 38 TDs to 4 INTs, and a 130+ QB rating because Moss sprinkles fairy dust on you. Brady can get all his no name WRs back next year and he'd still be a threat to be in the Super Bowl.

ok heres my rebuttal.

1) It wasn't Brad Johnson who put together the greatest Vikings offense in 1998 lol, it was Randall Cunningham who played 14 games and threw 34 TDs and 10 ints. B. Johnson threw 7 TDs and 5 ints in 3 games that he shared with Cunningham. That year Moss played with C.Carter (one of the all time greats) and J.Reed. Thats like Brady playing with Moss, Houshmanzada and Reggie Wayne on the same team. C. Carter is certainly better than Welker and Reed is on par with Stallworth. Tom Brady has already passed the 34 TD marker and he isn't going to throw 10 ints this season. If Moss made those QBs great, how come they dont have the stats that Brady has now? Cunningham and Jonnson are both Mediocre QBs. Brady still puts up decent numbers without any star receivers and win Super Bowls.

2) Culpepper been throwing to Moss since 2000. What the heck was he doing not putting up stellar numbers in 00,01,02 and 03 before going off in 04 ? Anyways, Moss only went down for 5 games in 04, if Moss played those 5 games in 04, u think he would get 11 more TDs to pass 50 mark ? I dont think so. If Moss made Culpepper great, how come he wasn't great for those 4 yrs with Moss especially when Moss was at his peak and athletic best. Culpepper still threw 11 ints that yr btw.

3) He has no release like Marino ? how do u know this ? have they been compared Scientifically ? Is there a scientific proof that Brady's release is inferior than Marino's ? People have different Mechanics. To How many superbowls wins did this super release of Marino get him ?

4) An Arm of Favre? An arm thats good for setting most INTs of all time record ? No thank you.

5) Running like Vick ? True, Brady can't run like Vick, but can Vick win SuperBowls like Brady can ? have u looked at Vick's passing stats lately ? QBs job is to throw TDs and carry the offense, u think Colts would trade Manning for Vick because of his running skills.

6) energy of Manning? How do u measure Energy ? Brady plays all 4 quarters when he has to, doesn't he ? Manning already had 3 yr pro Harrison on the team when he started. Name one superstar receiver that Brady had all this time. Go back and look at Brady's stats they are pretty good. Manning suddenly isn't looking too great now that his receivers Harrison, Clark and Stokley aren't playing. He still has Reggie Wayne and yet hes putting worst numbers in his career.

In the end, Moss is on pace to set best career stats for a season. He will probably get Jerry Rice's 22 TD in a season record. If those QBs are great how come Moss never had a shot at this record ? also remember that Brady didn't have Moss during Moss' peak years. Moss is slower these days.

Brady is an all time great because he wins Super Bowls. If a QB wins 1 superbowl, u can say he had good D, good supporting cast. But winning 3 times is not a fluke. U have to compare him to the likes of Montana, Aikman, Bradshaw. But Montana had rice and craig, Aikman had Irvin and Emmitt Smith, Terry Bradshaw only won because of that steel curtain coz stats wise, he sucks, he only passed for 300 yd game 7 times in his career. And Brady will soon surpass Bradshaw's stats in every category. He will do the same to Aikman's and Montana's when all is said and done.
oh one last thing, Brady doesn't even have a running game this season, their RBs are banged up and their stats are below average. So how come defenses are slow to react when its certain that a pass is coming their way ??? Because Brady is THE greatest ever !!!

Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. Even if the Pats didn't have Moss, they'd be at least 9-1. Tom Brady knows how to use his talent. He says himself that he can't throw as good as Peyton, can't run as good as Peyton, can't read defenses as good as Peyton. All he can do is win superbowls. Kind of like Joe Montana, but Brady is better than Joe, he's the greatest of all time.

Uh...The '98 Vikings had Randall Cunningham at QB...and Brady IS one of the greatest QBs of all time...Thats just stupid to think otherwise...3 Super Bowls BEFORE Moss...He is the only one who compares to Joe Montana since...Joe Montana...
