does wal-mart cash or accept cashiers cheks as payment for good?

my dad sent me a cashiers check so I could buy a new laptop for school but I don't have a bank account will wal-mart either cash it for me or can I just use it at the register to buy the laptop or in that case will a place like best buy take it

no it is considered a two party check!!!

Call Wal-Mart to find out. I'm sure they have a policy about this. Make sure that you have proper ID.

I think so; all you usually have to do with those t hings is endorse them.
