If you sired a child that was so horribly hideous that every time you so much as glanced at the poor thing, it made you vomit in your mouth just a little bit; would you give it up for adoption?

(this is a purely hypothetical question and you have to take in the fact that every time you look at the child, you WILL vomit; if not only just a mite. There is nothing you can do to get around the vomitting. Not even prolonged exposure to the child will help; it will only make you vomit more.)

It doesn't matter how you feel about loving the child.

the facts of the question are that you have a kid that is so grotesquely disfigured that even you; the person who loves it most as it is a part of you; will vomit upon seeing this twelve eyed, bearded, sloth looking creature.

not whether or not you would still love it.

okay! you all are CLEARLY missing the point of this ridiculous question.

I know you would love it.

Would you spend a minimum of 18 years vomitting at least once or twice daily; or give the child up for adoption?

evidently I'm messed up in the head just for thinking about this?

that's what happens when you have to sit at work for eight hours and do absolutely nothing.

Honestly? IN A HEART BEAT!

A child could be as cute as a kitten and I would still give him/her up for adoption, because I'm just not cut out to be a parent. So I'd DEFINITELY get rid of the rug rat if he/she was so ugly that I was doomed to eternal vomiting.

Wow, I agree. Some people are no fun at all; they just don't get the idea of hypothetical questions like this one. Maybe one day some of them will acquire a sense of humour and an imagination.

As for my answer: I'd probably give it up for adoption. However, you haven't said if the child would have the same effect on everyone? If you could find an adoptive parent who didn't vomit, the maybe adoption would be both in your and the child's best interests. But if everyone vomited on seeing the child, then the child would probably be destined to be shunted around various different families forever, so you could argue that you have a duty to keep it.

An alternative solution: how about adopting to blind parents, or gouging out your own eyes?

People get used to things, you know? Maybe they would vomit for the first few months, but then it would be like smelling dead bodies or something, you'd get used to it I think. So no, I wouldn't give it up for adoption. Besides, who would adopt it if it was that bad?

EDIT: Oh, I see, even prolonged contact with it wouldn't stop the vomiting? Ok then, I'd tie a porkchop around its neck and let the local pitbulls play with it, how's that?

P.S. This has got to be the weirdest, grossest question Ive seen on YA yet. So you get a star for that I guess.

Obviously you've never fathered a child. If you did, this type of question would never cross your mind. (hypothetical or not) To answer the question, no I would not EVER give my child away. A normal parent sees nothing but beauty when they look into the eyes of their children. Parents don't see the deformities, they see their babies, and the instinct to protect will never fail.

EDIT: By the way, YES, I would vomit daily for my child. Parents are spit on, puked on, and sh*t on daily. We clean it up and move on because we love our children. If I can handle my baby puking on me, I surely can handle me puking in the toilet.

wtf is up with this question dude.

If the child was mine I would never feel like that. It is my child, my flesh and blood. I would him or her till I die and then beyond. It wouldn't matter how they look, act, or what they do, they are part of me.

What is wrong with you.....

There is no way that any child could be so disfigured that I couldn't love them. No way. They are children and they are precious. They need love more than anyone else. This disturbs me that you came up with this thought! Are you taking a twisted psych class?

Yes, I would spend 18 years caring for this child and NO I wouldn't be vomiting.

Hell no I would never give him up for adoption for some freak to take care.

That is a very strange hypothetical question. If you were the father of a child, surely you would love it attractive or not. I would keep the child because, as it grows older, it may grow into it's (i don't know) ears, and become more attractive

OK, Hypothetically speaking, girlllll you have issues, the fact that your twisted little mind would even fathom this question is hideous. children are to be loved and this is what happens when you do to many drugs. get help a shrink can help you find out why your fantasizing about stuff like this.
