There is going to be a huge variation here. There are computer systems that are lighter than laptops at about 7 lbs, up to full workstations that are probably in the 40+ lbs range.

Monitors will range from 70 lbs for a 21" CRT, to 7 lbs for a 15" LCD.


Typical I would guess would be a mini-tower with a 17" LCD.

About 20 lbs for the system and 10 lbs for the monitor, so 30lbs or 14 kg. But you could see a significant variation depending on the construction, form factor and contents of the system. CRT or LCD will make a big difference.
