Don't like shopping for presents and no, I never know what to buy. Sometimes I see something and know that it's just the right thing for someone particular, but not often

Both! I love the shopping, its the panic at the end when I still haven't decided what to get someone, or I think I'll suddenly remember someone else I should have bought something for, and the shops have closed!

But its a relief when the shops do close, and its all over and I can relax and enjoy the day!

I know that gift cards are popular and I understand why people choose that route. However, as a recipient of them - it really is awkward. For example, I have a $50 TJ Maxx card from work that I have carried for 6 months! BUT, unless I buy somethng for $50 or less ( God forbid - then I need to figure out how to redeem my $.54 + $.05) it turns into a NIGHTMARE at the checkout counter. Just another example of " Look's Good on Paper"

I can't buy gifts worth a you-know-what. My strategy is usually to be a clueless guy shopper, and enlist the aid of the best looking sales clerk I can find. At least that was the strategy. Now I've got someone special in my life, and she LOVES to shop. I think Black Friday is actually going to be fun this year.

I love shopping for gifts for people. I'm actually really good at it. I love getting something for someone that makes their face light up.
Last birthday I gave my totall Lord Of The Rings obsessed fiance the 50th anniverary, hardcover, gilt edged edition. I will remember his face for the rest of my life, he'd been wanting a simple hard cover version since he was 14...
I haven't started Christmas shopping yet... I am totally broke lol, but I would usually have started by now. Its my favourite part of the Christmas season.
