I met this guy a couple months ago and have seen him twice and talk on the phone every week (we live 2 hrs apart) and he's already talking about not wanting kids (he has one with ex-wife) and whether I want any. Whats with this? Is this a little soon? Whats going on in his head?

He's interviewing you for the position of his wife. He wants to know early on if you share the same dreams and goals in life before he gets too deep into it. If you want like four kids and he doesn't want ANY... EVER... that might be a deal breaker to him and it might cost the relationship. Personally, I commend him for being so mature about his life expectations.

I'm with Lauren absolutey! He is doing what everyone should and that is interviewing you for a possible future position because he's a very smart man and knows what he wants.
You would already know whether kids are on your agenda and if they are then it's better to speak up now. This man can only be commended for his honesty, what a guy!!!!

No he is being up front about what he wants in life. He likes you and wants to put it on the table so that if you want kids that you both don't go further into a relationship and waste eachothers time. It is a good thing he is doing.

It's just letting you know that he doesn't want children. In fact, his desire not to breed could be what broke up his marriage because his wife wanted to breed more than she loved or respected her vows to him. He's simply avoiding another heartbreak like that by being honest.

He might not want to waste his time on a woman that wants kids. If one person does and one person doesn't it is usually a deal breaker and he is saving time and heartache.
