Fleas suck and are one of the hardest insects to get rid of. It takes a while to treat your house and your pets. Nothing kills the pupal and they just keep hatching even after you kill the adults. Takes a few treatments of your pets and your house. After treating everything, wash and vacuum again and again and make sure you get rid of the vaccum bag or they just crawl right back out of there.
I don't wish fleas on anyone. Well maybe an X or two.

That's because you need to use more than just Frontline if you've got a serious infestation, as you seem to. Frontline is good, but will only kill and prevent adult fleas on the animal - it does not kill flea eggs and pupae, and it does not treat the environment. All these are important if you want to get rid of all fleas.
I suggest you continue with Frontline (making sure you get it properly on the skin of the animal, and that you don't bath before applying it) and get yourself a proper house spray. It's also a good idea to switch to Frontline Plus because this does kill eggs and larvae, the ones on the animal anyway.

try using flea collars and we shampoo our dog in over the counter flea shampoo and she has a collar all very inexpensive , but first you need to do the house with a house hold treatment to try and reduce the problem . we also use a head lice comb on all our animals to remove any that might be there . we do the dog in the bath and the cats on our knee with a cup of boiling water handy to rinse the comb in if anything comes out . we don't use this as our only way to treat fleas, we started doing this after we treated the house and animals with sprays . but have now been doing this for 3 years and so far the little so-in-sos haven't returned to bug us

there's also some flea shampoo (if you get them groomed just ask the groomer about it), but also after the fleas are gone for a while the animals still feel the fleas (even though theyr'e not there).

you have to completely empty your home and have it sprayed
secondly, perhaps something like capstar (or some other sort of anti-flea pill) might work on the dog, i'm not a vet, but i would ask,
be careful with cats because some flea products are not safe for them!

Deflea your house and try a prescription flea preventative. I use Sentinal. You give your dog one pill monthly and it sterilizes the fleas so they can not lay eggs or hurt your animals/house in anyway.

Feed your dog and cat a clove of garlic once a week and they won't catch fleas. You'll have to de-flea your house too.
