This seems like a dumb question, but with computers, there is never a dumb question...

I have 4 PCs and 4 monitors. I want to use one keyboard and one mouse to control all 4, but I still need to have all 4 monitors available for viewing at the same time. I can still use a standard KVM switch and just not utilize the video switching portion...right?

Yeah, sure BUT you usually need to switch the KVM to the PC that is booting so that it will recognize the mouse and keyboard at boot up. After that process, you can switch to any PC as you please.

specific, there are various 2 port KVMs accessible. all people will enable the get entry to to all people laptop at a time via easy key strokes to change between the two structures. KVMs do no longer enable get entry to to the two on an identical time, that's an "the two/or" change.... (nevertheless you will possibly properly be logged into the two, you are able to basically view and administration separately)
