tell them that everything is going to be ok and that i am here for them and i love them. that usually works with my boyfriend.(btwe I DOmean all that i dont just say it to get him to stop)

A huge hug and then just sitting down and holding her works best for me....I don't ever ask her anything about why she's crying, because I know that as soon as she calms down a little, she'll want to talk about it. I just make sure I'm there for her.

I would hug them and ask them whats wrong. My best friends was crying in the movies so I just hugged her.
