Will as many people hate you as people will love you?

Question

Spending quite a bit of time on here has taught me that, try as you may, the odd person will always hate you.
I wonder if the ratio is 50-50, or 90-10, or whatever.
I'm not only talking about this website. I mean, fundamentally, in life, will you make as many enemies as you will make friends?
Or does the balance go a certain direction? If so, which one?

I think more people hate you than the other way around ... especially if you're a person who marches to the beat of your own drum! Certain people - let's just call them TROLLS - would prefer for you to be 'mindless drones' with no opinions.

I would like to say there is a statistic for that question, but I can't. Fundamentally, in life, people are rarely personal enemies to you. Adults eventually realize that the anger they felt toward another was really their frustration they felt about a situation they were personally in and needed a scapegoat to make themselves feel better at that time of their lives. You, in general, weren't the enemy. The longer a person experiences life, the more they realize the truth of their actions and are more able to accept their mistakes. Hate and love being the fine line between acquaintances and lovers; friendship wins out. Relationships are tricky, but in the long run, hate very rarely wins.

I do hope that the balance is something like 90 to 10, but to answer your question would mean to make a serious balance of my life and I'm not quite ready to do that yet. It's easy to be hated and it's hard to make a friend, but I keep on trying.

I can't really understand, how one can "love" or "hate" a complete stranger. The strongest thing I can imagine is "like" or "dislike" of this part which is disclosed by the user.

When I speak of my own opinion, I approximately:
40% like
2% dislike
58% indefinite

I think the term 'hate' gets thrown around too much.

like if love is such a big deal and you can only really fall in love with a few people and hate is the opposite, then surely you can only really hate a few people.

I guess it depends on who you are. What your beliefs are and how accepting you are of other people.

in my 'non virtual life' I'm getting on very well with everybody..
but here it's really different. I made a lot of friends but also enemies .. I didn't expect to find such a lot of envious and really evil people here...0_o..

But I think I've got more friends than enemies here (I hope so jeje)

in meiner vergangenheit gabt es sicher viele menschen die mich hassten. ich brach viele männerherzen. unehrlich war ich; respekt und achtung kannte ich auch nicht. vor ca. sieben jahren begann ich mein leben von grundauf zu verändern. ich glaube sagen zu dürfen, dass mich heute mehr menschen lieben, als mich früher menschen gehasst haben. aber das habe ich nur erreicht, weil ich selbst angefangen habe die menschen zu lieben und zu vertrauen! ich habe aufgehört die menschen zu hassen! wer liebe sät, wird liebe ernten!!!

yep, no matter what you are, or do there are gonna be as many people who hate you as like you, so you might as well just do whatever you want, and hell with world.
