and 180 + 60 = 240

x = 120° , x = 240° (as per your solution)

It is correct but you could also do this:
8cos x+ 4 =0
8cos x = -4
cos x = -4/8 = -1/2

I agree. Perfect. Only comment is you could save one step by just subtracting 4 from each side and dividing by 8. Results are same. You could have done it without factoring.

its perfect but can be done in a diff. way.
4(cos x+1)=cos (2n-1)pi/2.....
