Depends on the person but most of the time I am courteous.

Reasonably so. That's something I practice in moderation, however. There's a thin line between courteous and smarmy!

I am very courteous and I teach my children to be courteous also. My son's open doors for me and my daughter, car doors included and we always say please, thank you and no thank you. It's just a way of life for us!
