I feel so powerless and afraid for my girls...please read and offer ANY advice. I have physical custody of my 3 daughters, and my ex filed a restraining order against me (it WAS GRANTED!!!). He's claimed(obviously untrue) I hit them/put them in dangerous situations/don't bathe them/among numerous other insane accusations. He began a custody battle 2 mos after the div was finalized 1 yr ago. I can't afford to hire a decent atty. He was abusive in the marriage, hasn't had much interest in them until the last year. He simply doesn't want to pay child support. I'm a stay at home soccer type mom who LIVES for her children. He won't even help with homework. His lies are better than my truths. No ones even interviewed the girls, and I haven't been ALLOWED to present ANY evidence to the judge!Tomorrow I won't know the next time I'll be allowed to speak to or see them. I'm dying inside!Advice, prayers, moral support!? PLEASE! I can't believe this is happening to us!

my heart goes out to you, remember that in the end, all forces of nature will support YOU, and the TRUTH....Have you heard that honesty and truth prevails? Do me a favour and spend your entire night doing the following:
-tell yourself that your daughters are yours and that you have them, they belong to you
-feel the joy of getting them back, i mean really feel it
-tell yourself repetitively that forces of nature will unite you with your daughters
-picture yourself and your daughters surrounded by a glowing white light, FEEL the joy and peace

DONT IGNORE THIS AND PLEASE DO THIS!!!! IT WORKS

You want to point out to the judge that he refuses to even pay child support! He hasn't even been a stable figure in their lives. Ask to have the case reopened for the restraining order. Any way that you can expose flaws in his character and story, you need to do. Request to have the children questioned by somebody and even put you and your ex through a lie detector test. Ask the judge to do anything they can so you can prove the truth and not have your children wrongfully taken from you to be put with the abusive father. If you know he's done drugs, ask them to have him submit to a drug test.

I never told anyone this before because I figured nobody would believe me, so I am going to tell you because you need to know.
I did not see my 10 yr old daughter until she was 15 yrs old because my ex husband claimed I was abusive and a judge issued a permanent restraining order against me. My lawyer did not show up in court and managed to get over $5K in a retainer fee and did not show up in court to defend me. He has since been sued and censured by the bar association for stealing clients money and not doing the work.
I had physical custody of our 13 yr old son as well as my daughter, and no question was ever raised about the son being with me, but the daughter. My ex was a liar, alcoholic and could never pay child support and didnt want to pay support, but he could afford to drag me into court repeatedly over 18 yrs. He knocked 1 of my front teeth out, but a judge thought he was the better parent for our daughter. I had to save all my money and hire a new attorney who represented me in court so I could see my daughter for the 1st time in 5 yrs. My daugther now is a cutter. She is hateful, and knows exactly what happened. Her dad managed to get out of years of support over it and our son hasnt spoken to him in over 10 yrs, and he and his sister are like strangers. The damage is not repairable. I will never be close to her. She is like a stranger to me. She is so manipulative I dont trust her in my house. I was told by a family counselor to watch myself around her because she manipulates so well. He was concerned for my well being.
Hire a good attorney and hope for the best. Make sure you have evidence and someone to back you up. I had my son, but didnt want to put him thru anymore. Children and family services was on my side, but that didnt help. No one helped.
The only good memories I have now are my daughter when she was a baby.
He could care less about her now.

I am so sorry!!!
The best thing I can think of is to ask your friends and family to band together and write, tell, sing, paint on billboards, whatever!! good character references, family stories, pictures, ANYTHING! Get political on his sorry *** and write your congressman, get all your 'references' to do the same. I'm telling you it makes a difference.. most judges truly want what's best for the kids.
