Two galaxies will eventually collide but i can tell you ours wont be the first ones to collide. The universe isn't infinite but its Huge!! so it has happened before.Mankind will not be able to survive such a impact unless we meet other alien beings that can actually "help" us.

Stars pretty much fly about at random in galaxies anyway, so colliding galaxies wont' have much effect on the stars themselves except that billions of them would be flung into intergalactic space from tidal effects. The stars themselves would rarely be effected, because they are so ridiculously far apart that collision is almost impossible anyway. Usually colliding galaxies merge into a single one, which is what Andromeda and the Milky Way will almost certainly do.

The only problem, by standards of today's thinking, is that the sun may be ejected from the galaxy by gravitational close encounters with other stars or the centre of the galaxy. This would be a very gradual process relatively. The Earth will be lifeless by that time anyway.
Mankind won't survive because we won't be around in this form. Think of how many or few millions of years it has taken for evolution to change species on this planet. Now mutiply that length of time by one thousand.

Again, as strange as it may seem, there will probably be no collisions. The distances between stars are vast, compared to their sizes.
I see two possible problems. First, there would be the huge effect of gravity of such a large collective mass streaming through our galaxy. That would completely disrupt the structure of the galaxy. Billions of stars would be sent hurtling out into intergalactic space, but many would slowly come back. The two galaxies might eventually combine. Planets could easily be torn from their parent stars and freeze in the interstellar darkness. this could happen to earth.
Another problem I see is all that gas and dust colliding at millions of miles an hour. There would be many new stars formed, I think, but there might be so other bad effects, as well. Maybe lots of supernovas in a concentrated area, which would spell trouble for life-bearing planets in the vicinity. That's just my guess, though. I could be completely wrong on that. But not on the first one.

Nothing worse will happen No stars will collapse or byrst. The tewo galaxies will colloid and join together to form a bigger galaxy the only thing that will be lst is shape of the two galaxies.

actually most stars will not collide as the distances are soo great there is a lot of room for stars to just go past each other we will see many more stars in the night sky though.and according to statistics the earth has exausted over 80% of its life retaining capasity so even if nothing colides with earth i don't think we will be there long enough to witness it.

i saw in a documentary (naked science on discovery channel) that when the galaxies collide, the stars won't - aint that something! but that will be in like 1-3 billion years. as for the earth, i think i heard that the planets will be separated from our sun. i'm not too sure, i saw this few years ago.

No, Milki way and Andromeda galaxy won't collide, every galaxy in the whole universe is currently moving AWAY from each other(yes every galaxy) at 1/3 the speed of light, in an continuously expanding universe, NONE of any galaxies will ever get to collide with another.
