Sorry..perhaps not clear...why do the wives ignore it?

My first husband did that to me! Sometimes I thought he was going to kiss her or make out right there in front of me! I either sat there and didn't say anything, or got up and excused myself to the restroom so I wouldn't cry! I was so young, and he had beat my self esteem so low, that I didn't think anyone else would want me! I went through many years of mental, physical and sexual abuse, till I woke up in ICU with trauma to my brain, a slit throat and a broke leg. I was also 7 months pregnant! I made it, got me and my other kids out and am a very strong person now! I also have a husband that is the world to me! He treats me like a queen! I still have nightmares sometimes, but he is right there holding me and helping me through it all! That is why I just let it happen, other women, not sure why, but I bet some are becasue of low self esteem too!

I want to say before I answer your question that some married women flirt right in front of their husbands as well... I believe in either case that it's disrespectful... the marital vow is to forsake all others (that was our vow), which means don't give them the time of day, which means, don't flirt! why do the women ignore it? they probably give their spouse hell when they get home, or perhaps dump them when they get home, or... it does not bother them... I would not ignore it, I would relate it to cheating, and I'd be one to dump the husband...! and I agree w/ tea up there in their answer, perhaps the woman is hoping the one he is flirting with will take him home and she can divorce and find a better man!

Why do they flirt? Or why do the women ignore it? Men who openly flirt in front of their wives show very little respect for them....guess they think they must be something special and no woman can resist them....The women ignore it because perhaps it really doesn't bother them....maybe they are afraid to say something....maybe they have gotten so use to it...and they know he won't stop even if they do say something....

Because they know who their husband's will be crawling into bed next to at home. Nothing wrong with flirting, flirting is not an invitation to have sex, even married women flirt with single men. Go to a male strip show...half the time women are worse than the men. The only major difference is that half of the men in those shows are gay...

This actually happens with both men and women. In some relationships, both people are naturally very flirtatious and both partners accept that about one another. As for those who don't seem to care, sometimes they do care but they won't say anything about it right then and there (they'll wait until they're alone). And for those women who do ignore it, they probably have low self-esteem...they refuse to accept it as a "flaw" about their husbands because they're afraid it means he finds other women more attractive. So basically, there are a million reasons.

It's a game with married couples it's a turn on. They know that they're going home with each other, A liitle flirtation just puts a simple flame in the fire. The married couple are secure with their relationship and each other. It's no big deal with us. Us wives don't ignore it we go and flirt also. I guess your missing that aspect of the scenery. Since when has it been against the law of marriage to flirt? If each party does it and loves it then don't judge. Who are you to judge? If you get flirted with just sit back and enjoy it. A married woman will flirt with you before a single one will. Am I right?

That is funny. I am a man and I find women flirting with men behind thier husbands back as well as in front of thier face. Crazy huh? In fact, I think it is safe to say it goes more the other way around.

Many reasons:a) they are really confident and trusting and flirting doesn't bother themb) are used to the disrespect and don't waste their time feeling jealous anymorec) the guy is a naturally flirty person and doesn't mean any harmd) the wife doesn't care cause she's interested in someone elseOnce you are comfortable with someone and know that they love you, talking to someone of the opposite sex is not a big deal.

The men do it to feel macho and to see if they can get a rise out of their wife. The wife ignores it because she knows he's just playing and trusts him and is secure enough in herself and their marriage to know that it won't go any further. That's the way it is with me and my husband and we've been together for 17years (married for 11).

Because the wives have always put up with it...or they didn't know that they were disrespectful until they got married.
A man will go as far as you let them...Some of them need training!!!! Some of them know better...!!! Some women don't care they feel the man is going home with them...so they let them flirt.
As far as I am concerned those men aren't worth it!
