i'm basically including to the very incredible remark which has already been published (different than for Christov's rambling). The Leafs and the Canadiens are 2 of the oldest, maximum storied frnachises in NHL historic past. In Canadian historic past, Toronto and Montreal of course have financial and political opposition and as yet another responder reported, the English-French opposition lower back interior the 1930's and 1940's grew to become into, have faith it or no longer, plenty extra violent then than now. whilst there wre basically 6 communities, and the Leafs or the Canadiens have been the champions (particularly circumstances Detroit) most of the time, and that they performed one yet another 8 cases a season, or some such concern, such rivalries have been created. i think if somebody had to invite the baseball equivalent, one ought to ask why the Boston pink Sox and the long island Yankees are the form of massive opposition. Or, in basketball, why is is there such an electric powered buzz whilst the Celtics play the Knicks (no longer plenty anymore considering the fact that the two communities are no longer enjoying so nicely, yet you get the gist). after all, the Leafs-Canadiens opposition boils right down to this: lower back interior the day, you had to circulate with which one you loved. T.O. or Montreal. Now, in step with risk that's no longer plenty the case.

I like the Leafs and the Habs. IT IS POSSIBLE!!! Leave me alone.
Angie: I hope for a high scoring game that ends up in overtime. I really don't care who wins. It's funny, because if the Leafs score on the Canadains, then I say something like, " No big deal, the Habs are never good in the 1st period." Then if the Candians score I say somehting like, "It takes a while for those d-men to get warmed up on the Leafs." It is pretty sad actually. Somewhat like fighting with yourself.

Well the Leafs are my 3rd fave team, so I'm definitely more of a Leafs fan than a Habs fan.

Leafs fan for 40 + years. They will win the cup after I die. Kind of a reverse Bill Barilko thing.
I also cheer for any team playing Ottawa, Buffalo or Detroit.
