Kansas is good enough I think LSU's defense has been exposed especially letting up 34 points to Alabama and with Kansas running the spread offense I think LSU would have a tough time covering everyone but we might not even see that if Missouri comes up with a win this week

Can Kansas beat LSU. Yes. Will they. Probably not.

Everyone knows that LSU has played a difficult schedule, whereas KU has not. LSU has had some close games. The thing is, even when they are not playing well they do what they need to do to win. They are tested. They have come from behind. They have the talent. These are all attributes that stand out when the pressure is on, such as in the NC game. Because of their easy schedule, KU has not faced any of this adversity. How will they handle it? Not very well.

Normally I would say no. But after looking at last year's Fiesta Bowl, i say anything is possible. LSU on paper is by far better than Kansas. We thought that about Oklahoma and Boise last year and saw what happened on the field. Kansas would probably have a few tricks up their sleeve and pull it off. But this most likely will not be a match up come bowl time.

kansas could beat lsu but won't
kansas has speed but lsu has more on defense
kansas does run the spread well but so does florida lsu has seen the spread for a couple of years
lsu can have a punishing running game and has the ability to throw the ball around when needed
lsu would be able to control the clock and kansas just would not get enough touches

Let's be honest, Kansas does not have the size to stop LSU. Hester is a beast and will run all over KU. And how will Kansas stop Glen Dorsey in the middle? Kansas hasn't played against a team anywhere near as physical as LSU. Anyone who knew football said Florida would dominate OSU last year, and this year is the same way, SEC champ > winner of weak BCS conference.

Anybody can beat anybody this year. Hope they both make it. Interesting and very exciting matchup. Even though Kansas has blown out 'nobodies', it shows that their offense can click and keep clicking. They may not put up the same numbers against LSU, but I think they're definately contenders. LSU is strong, fast and deeper than the Marianis Trench. We'll see....

Geaux Tigers!!!

If you look at all the talent LSU has, the opponents they have played and the coaching they have, they SHOULD beat Kansas hands down. But as we have all seen this year no one is guaranteed a win. I do believe it would be a fun game to watch.

Yes. Individually, LSU is better, but Kansas plays the best team ball I've seen in a while. They are strong at all phases and don't make mistakes. Reesing hasn't thrown an interception in his last 205 passes. They are a lot like the Miami Dolphins no-name team that went undefeated in 1972.

not in the bcs big game. if both teams get knocked out and meet in another bowl, yes, because lsu won't really care. see boise state and okies last year...oklahoma thought they could show up and win. in a scenario like that, yes, kansas could win, but lsu is a far supereior team.

No they couldn't. And I highly doubt that both LSU and Kansas wins out anyway - maybe if Tenn beats Kentucky, but I doubt it.
