I have a 27 pound turkey, it's been in the refrid since monday and it's still frozen. Should I take it out and place it in the sink, once it thaws - I am planning on cooking it (tomorrow). My house is about 78 degrees so I'm not sure if it will be wise leaving turkey in sink

well, i can't advise perfectly but here's what i did:
I have had my turkey out since yesterday as well... and it's still very frozen. Tonight I pulled it out of it's wrapper and put it in a big pot of cold water with about a cup of salt (look up brining a turkey... makes the skin hold in the juices) and PUT IT BACK IN THE FRIDGE. It is frozen solid. Tomorrow I will pull it out and change the water, clean it.. pull out the giblets.. put in more salt, maybe some oranges etc. and put it back in the fridge. And I'm thinking this will work.

I personally wouldn't have done that. You should have thawed it the day before Thanksgiving in cool water. Just keep a close eye on it, and on thanksgiving smell your turkey to make sure it didn't rot. My grandma had a rotten turkey when she thawed it too early, terrible.

Why bother? Take a still frozen turkey and stick it fully covered in your over at 225 for 10 hours or so. My mom has been doing that for like forever, you always get a juicy bird. And I've never ever gotten sick off one of her turkeys.
