First if all, i would like to say that i'm not american, nor I live in the US, but i follow your news and debates.

Don't get me wrong, im not necessarily saying that she's no good but i fail to find anything special, or outstanding about her other than the fact that she's a woman.

But she seems to have the nomination pretty much wraped up so... im i missing something or what?

P.S.: I don't think that being first lady gives you much merit..

Simple Jorge, it's because she doesn't HAVE any remarkable ideas to begin with. All she has is the same old, dusty liberal playbook going back over 40 years. Also, you may or may not be aware, she may not have the nomination locked up... as of today, Barack Obama has a small lead on her in Iowa... which is big considering as little as 1 month ago she did indeed look like she had it all locked up. Now I'm not so sure... too bad really, I'd love to see her as the nominee, because that would mean an almost certain Republican victory, but not only for President but I think we'd end up taking back the House and the Senate. In general, she is not well liked... and this dislike seems to cross political lines.

Tax the poor !!!

Actually, as of today Obama is leading Hillary by 4 points in Iowa! Hillary may not be the shoe-in that everybody thought she was... Maybe America is not as "dumbed down" as we thought it was..

No question though, nationwide Hillary is still leading.. Hillary's appeal among Democrats is really odd.. Even 65% of the democrats say they don't trust her... And yet many of the same ones that don't trust her would still vote for her.

But then, Billary was elected for a second term even after all the dirt on him came out and he lied about it..

The link provided is a poll that was taken in Oct '07. Hillary has lost ground since then..

from the people that I've talked to about the candidates, the people that support Hilary like her because:

-she's a woman
-her husband, Bill, was a president and they think she'll be the same president as he was
-they are biased against the other candidates, didn't even give them a chance

this is the problem with many people, they don't have open minds and choose before understanding. In order for this country, or any country for that matter, to vote and select a good leader, they must be informed voters.

Rather simple really; Most presidential candidates on both sides of Politics don't really have anything "new" to say... either it's the tired old party line or it's their opinion on an "issue" (which is usually just the same tired old party line).

Why is Obama gaining popularity? Because he actually puts forward new ideas... something that hasn't really been happening on either side of politics in this election campaign.

she hasn't. look at Joe Biden. He doesn't get a lot of time to talk in the debates because the moderators focus on hillary and barack, but go to http://www.joebiden.com/ and http://www.youtube.com/user/JoeBidendotcom (watch his jefferson-jackson speech and the video called "sacred obligation". they'll give you a good idea where he stands and who he is as a human being. and she doesn't have it wrapped up by any means. don't believe everything the media says. the voters will decide the election.

Oh she has come up with a few impressive ideas - Hillary Care, taking profits away from private corporations etc. Unfortunately if any of her impressive plans are actually put into practise good night, good old USA.

I agree with the first part of your comment but disagree that everyone seems to like her—she is a power hungry socialist with no moral center who stood by her philandering husband and liar in chief for her personal gain..

hillary is a power hungry crooked slob. she has nothing to add to the country if she is elected except 4-8 years of continuous scandal.
i am voting for ron paul. he has the most to say that is good and he is honest. now that his campaign has been attacked and 2 tons of ron paul medallions have been seized by the fed govt goons, he is gaining a lot more support. thanks to special agent (not really special) andy, ron paul may get elected after all!!!!!
thanks andy!

Besides being "first lady" for 8 years, she has been Senator from NY for over 6 years and re-elected once. She has the election wrapped up because everyone else is a light-weight in comparison, with the possible exception of Bill Richardson, who has been around for a while and is Governor of New Mexico.

I just wonder what she will say about those photos we all saw in 1992 of her and Bill burning a US Flag in MOSCOW in the 1970s...She was a card-carrying Communist back then, and she's still practicing their ways now. Do you really want that for a President? NOT ME!
