I'm married to a great guy that I love with all my heart.
My first true love (6 years ago and not sexual type of first love) is a unreturned love but we remained very close friends throughout the years. I was never able to completely get over him I haven't talked to him in months nor have I thought much about him.
but....I had a dream last night that I was at the mall with some people and he showed up and gave me a shy smile and hugged me. We talked a little about how I ended up feeling as I did about him. Then, he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me sweetly and didn't let go. We stayed like that with my arms around his neck for a while. I felt safe and warm and loved. He said "People will see us" referring to my friends and I just told him I didn't care and we held each other in this safe, warm embrace a while longer and then I woke up...
All day I was smiling and I felt as if everything would be ok (not that anything was actually wrong to begin with)

In my opinion, just the feelings alone that you felt in the dream is a sign that you need more warmth & tenderness in your life. I'm not saying you don't get those things from your husband. But subconciously you may need more from him. I tend to have similar dreams as yours that feel so real & make me feel so good when I awaken. It is because I need that in my life & want to feel it.

It was just a dream. Apparently a good one at that. Your ex is an ex for a reason. I think maybe you are missing something out of your marriage and like those care free days that you had with your first love. Let it pass. It was just a dream.

You are just reliving what could have been but it is not reality and you know this. Sometimes it takes years to get over someone and all you can do is take one day at a time.

I had one, months in the past. i do no longer understand if he grew to become into precisely loopy, yet he despatched fairly some creepy emails. no longer the sturdy/humorous/pervy style; greater like the form that make you ask your self what proportion lifeless hookers he has in his trunk.
