i am a guy
and im looking for a nail polish for my nails
to keep them clean looking
i use a base coat
but is there anything else that does not shine so much

Nails for Males is a matte finish polish but I don't know the brand name.

I wear nail polish sometimes, clear or base does give nails a nice clean appearance. Buffing is good if you don't want it to be too shiny. I've worn black a few times, it actually looks really good.

revlon makes a natural/clear polish that is more of a matte look. you could also use a ridge filler type product from Essie that dries matte. I sometimes use that on my nails instead.
Essie also makes a polish just for men :)

Sally hanson natural shine. It'll give your nails a healthy buffed look. Not shiny and glossy.

Try bufing them lightly with a buffing stick or emery board. This will dull the shine to some degree.
