Putting your head in the sand, and wishing that it would go away, doesn't mean it doesn't exist!!

I saw a documentary done years ago that interviewed U.S. Air Force pilots and commercial airliner pilots who SWEAR by all that is holy to them (and they are all patriots) that their UFO encounters were real and scary and that figuring out where these craft come from should be a priority to the human race.

But it should be just that--a joint investigation funded by ALL OF US, because we are all equally affected by contact from outside our own planet, are we not?

If the UFO's were a threat to mankind then yes but i wonder are these sightings only pertaining to the USA ??? which other country has sighted such flying objects?are there any records registered other then the USA ? I'm more keen about space but if the UFO's r truly causing some harm to mankind in general then yes a proper investigation wud be welcome. If the NASA is coming up up some farce or nothing then it'll be a waste of time, money and energy. If yahoo news has reported the UFO pictures, if they r valid ones then yes the USA shud supposedly start with the investigation. Maybe we wud get to some conclusion about some other planets existance and the need for them to invade our planet. Also I think if these UFO's can come to our planet how advanced their technology will be for they cud actually come to our planet, whereas we r just in the fledgling state of exploring the space. We have discovered many planets and still pondering over lifes existance on the planet like Mars or a possibility that Jupiter can be the next planet to have life started. But so far we've not reached the planets from which these UFO's start their journey.

Considering the possibilities of UFO's being form another planet...no, I have zero thought that could happen..UFO's from here? sure, no reason not to suspect that the government of some country, has at times, had some wierd stuff flying about. But considering the size of the cosmos, the mere size and distance just cannot make sense that aliens would find this pin spot. But it is an idea that seems to stick around, isn't it? Phil

I didn't know they had stopped. It's not something they even
advertised. I lived in Arizona for several years and they would
talk about sightings so often that people had called in about
and there would be several people witinessing the same things.
There was one year in Phoenix that there were huge bright
lights in the sky. All lined up like at a big football stadium. They remained day and night for three or four nights and people got used them being there. Traffic flowed under them and no one seemed to mind. The TV blamed it on atmospheric conditions from something in California. As if we believed that. But sightings were so common, no one panicked. It was 'something' that just happened in the desert, wasn't it? Or so the citizens thought. I never wanted to be driving on a stretch of road in the desert at night, I knew that. There were people who swore they'ed been taken aboard spacecraft and examined, and they were having headaches. I suppose people are still reporting and claiming they were examined even recently. There's just too much of this going on in Arizona and New Mexico to ignore them all. We also
heard reports of Air Force jets encountering unidentified
'aircraft'. Yes, I do believe that these sightings are for real.

Yes, so long as the pilots conduct the investigation with existing data, astronomers and physicists, refusing governmental intrusion. Where the government stands only matters if defense is necessary. In the matter of life coming from elsewhere, witnesses, astronomers, physicists and other specialized scientists are in charge. You can't politic it away.

Don't know if that would help, but I definitely think any "credible" sightings told by more than one, (like masses or large groups) since 1996 should be studied in depth and it should continue as long as sightings continue.

Personally if the "truth" came out, I would be disappointed if there wasn't something to it. I would love to believe, and it would not compromise my belief in God at all, Remember God created THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH.

Sure! That will be a good public diversion from the war in Middle East.

It could be a political ploy.

This is an interesting question. There have, apparently, been sightings, and reading up on information, about what was being developed in Germany after the war, it leaves you wondering? The technology is definitely there. Another good question.

I think the Empire is crashing and opening UFO investigation is silly. The world is doomed and no intelligent beings would be intersted in 'saving' us so why bother?
