I got caught stealing. Mine was petty theft/alcohol related, but best advice i can give is fess up and get a good lawyer and try to do any community service programs that automatically expunge the conviction. Hope you got a lot of money to fall back on, it wasnt cheap.

Pray the owner doesn't have a gun. You go to jail (or the grave -- in Florida, we legally shoot thieves).
